Basic Rescue for Events – Officials, Participants and Volunteers
CPRT will be running a free Rescue Clinic for all people who are involved in wildwater and Slalom Racing. This would be a great event to participate in if you are an official, volunteer, participant or even spectator with kids on the water.
Come and learn how to use a throw bag – we will be teaching everyone the basic skills to use the bag to rescue from the bank, how to rescue while being a swimmer and how to be rescued. Come and join in and learn aggressive whitewater swimming, also self rescue while paddling.
We will provide the gear needed including PFDs and helmets. You will need to bring gear you can swim in and good footwear.
Come and join us for some fun and gaining useable skills. Participants must be able to swim 50m well. You will need to book in to participate
