What are the Design and Performance Features?

• High Rocker & Flat Base: The hull features significant rocker for maneuvering through turbulent water, paired with a flat base that allows it to navigate incredibly shallow waterways. The increased rocker allow you to stay drier when running larger drops and punching through river features without compromising on performance.
• Modular Floor Options: A standout feature is its adaptable floor system. Paddlers can outfit the boat with a half floor, a semi-rigid floor (ideal for soft landings), or a super-stiff rigid floor. The rigid floor option prevents the boat from flexing, making it exceptional for punching through holes, playing in waves, and executing crisp boofs over drops. The floor is an additional cost, but still prices the full set-up packraft below its competitors.
• Optimized Tube Sizes: Built with slightly smaller tubes, it lowers wind resistance and reduces the overall width, making it much easier for mid-sized adults to paddle using shorter paddle lengths. Rolling this packraft is also easier due to the reduced resistance.
• Gear Storage: It comes standard with an internal TZip cargo fly storage system, allowing you to safely stow heavy camping gear inside the tubes to lower your center of gravity on multi-day expeditions. The inside storage is easily accessible and carries 80-100L.
• Durable Construction: Made from resilient materials specifically engineered to tolerate the heavy knocks, scrapes, and abrasive environments common in shallow creeks.

What is the Standard Outfitting Package?

The raft is typically sold fully configured as a self-bailer (though a non-self-bailing deck option is available upon request). The retail package includes:

What is T-Zip?

The T-Zip or Cargo Fly is an advanced, airtight internal storage solution engineered for modern packrafts. By integrating a heavy-duty, waterproof zipper directly into the stern of the boat, this system allows paddlers to utilize the space inside the raft's tubes to store equipment. Stowing your gear inside the tubes lowers your center of gravity, resulting in a more stable watercraft, enhanced paddling performance, and streamlined handling.

Internal Dry Bags (Available Separately)

Designed specifically to complement the T-Zip system, these dedicated internal dry bags maximize organization and weight management:

• Secure Anchor System: Side-release buckles clip tightly into internal anchor points, eliminating loose gear shifting while navigating rapids.
• Enhanced Safety Chambers: When inflated inside the tubes, the dry bags function as secondary, independent air chambers. This provides critical supplementary buoyancy and extra peace of mind if your main hull sustains a puncture.

What is a Self Bailing Packraft?

A self-bailing packraft has drainage in the floor, so when water gets in, it drains back out. You will get wet in a self-bailing raft, so they are best for white water in warm weather or use with a dry suit. Lattitudes Basic configuration features a thick inflatable seat paired with a foot brace in the front to keep you dry. Upgraded versions may include a high/low full floor which increases the rigidity of the packraft, as well as keeping you dry.

How does the Lattitude Nangana compare to the Malu?

The Malu is superior across the board in higher volume whitewater. Similar to the Alpacka Valkyrie, it's faster. It edges and holds an edge better. It tracks through features better. It carves and eddies better. It is easier to roll, but is not as beginner friendly. It also does not work as well in shallow creeks and rivers found frequently in Australia.

The Nangana is super responsive and turns on a dime. It tracks well and carves into eddies on the edge, while still being stiff enough to boof large drops with ease (with semi rigid or rigid floor).

• The Malu is the preferred choice for the intermediate to advanced whitewater packrafter on higher volume rivers. This is the highest performing packraft for grade 3-4 rivers.
• The Nangana is recommended for the beginner to advanced whitewater packrafter on either low of high volume river flows.
• The Nangana is the more versatile choice for a mix of flatwater, lightwater, whitewater, and backpacking focused trips. The Nangana is lighter and more packable, with higher cargo capacity.
